The best toys and activities for Mars are always the ones that don't cost much money. After dimsum today, we walked over to a party store and got him a red balloon. The smile on his face when we handed it to him was priceless. Then, we went to the pet store and he ran around with his balloon while watching the puppy training class and pointing at guinea pigs.

A couple of days ago, we bought one of those big bubble wands for a dollar, went into the backyard and blew bubbles. It made Mars so happy! He kept trying to chase them down. It was so much fun for him, and so much fun for us just watching him.

Here's a picture of one popping right in front of his face:

Here's Mars trying out this new cup called The Kupp!

Milk everywhere, but it's ok...we only cry over spilt breastmilk.

It was my niece's 5th birthday and she had the cutest cowhand themed party at a petting zoo. Mars had such a wonderful time petting the guinea pigs and feeding the llamas!

Fuji Superia 200 Film

1 year, 3 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day old

Hello from Southern California! We are here visiting my family and it's been so relaxing. Mars is really enjoying playing with his cousin, and because of the hot weather, he's been splashing around in water a lot and he loves it.

Last night, my sister and brother-in-law invited me to go to a cocktail reception at Chanel and it was fun to dress up and go out without the baby. I posted some pictures from the event on my Instagram. If you're not following me on ig, feel free to stop by and say hi! @themamagazette

On 35mm: Outside

This is an example of what happens when you take a wonderful rare film, forget about it for about five years, and then use it completely wrong because forgetful...again. Fuji Natura 1600 is an incredibly fast film that was only sold in Japan for a while, and meant to be used with the Fuji Natura camera, which has a super-wide aperture of 1.9. These little point and shoot cameras cost about $700 and up on eBay nowadays, and I've pretty much given up on trying to acquire one. However, when I came across the film in Taipei a few years back, I couldn't pass it up. My plan was to use it with my LC-A, which is f/2.8, but since I sold it a while back, I just decided to put it in a regular camera and see what the results were. And.... these are the results!
