I am obsessed with baby clothes.

This was a super nice gift from J's cousin who was visiting from New York. It is my favorite outfit so far and I hope baby can wear it eeeeverrryyydayyyyyy!

Also in today's post:

A recent first grade conversation.

Me:
What do you think I should be for Halloween?

Student:
(thinking)... A snowman.

Me:
That's a really good idea. Why do you think I should be a snowman?

Student:
Because you're fat and you have a baby coming and snowmen are big and fat.

Me:
Oh. Ok. Thanks.

Weekends!

We wake up, J cooks breakfast (I usually cook breakfast on the weekdays), we eat, I lounge around in bed for about four hours doing homework or catching up on lame tv shows, I get up to eat lunch, then sleep for three to four hours, and now I'm lounging around in bed again just waiting for dinner time.

Weekends are my favorite. Obviously.

Me and my sister-in-law

I hope one day our kids will be able to appreciate this photo as much as I do.
I mean, come on. We're touching bellies! It's practically their first contact with one another!

In San Francisco, the summers are hot for about two weeks in October and then it's winter. I swear, the weather was in the 70's this week, but this morning, I awoke to that crazy foghorn.

A part of me is a bit upset because I love hot, hot weather. Palm Springs, Taipei, LA. But the fog this morning made me a bit excited. Well, excited enough to take a picture and then blog about it.

Usually, the fog just reminds me that it's my favorite time of the year. Pumpkin time. Halloween. Thanksgiving. The holidays (I joke with J all the time about how all the other times of the year suck). But this year, on top of all those wonderful things, I'm thinking about a possible Thanksgiving at the new house, and the birth of our baby at the end of all the great things!

Tomorrow, we will officially be homeowners!
Everything is signed and squared away, and we're hoping to move in before Thanksgiving.

Two weekends ago, we went to see the house again. It's hard to believe that we had only seen the place once, and now we're going to own it. Luckily, it was everything we remembered it to be and like J says, we fell in love with it all over again.

The house needs a small bit of work, but thankfully, not too much. Currently, the owner is packing things up and getting ready to move. This is how everything looks right now:

Kitchen

Dining room

Living room

Foyer

Baby's room

Bathroom

Master bedroom

Garage

We've already started furniture shopping and planning out the different rooms. We're really excited for how everything will look in the end!

We're making room for baby!

I've been busy ebaying my old cameras in an attempt to make room for the baby. I don't think it'll free up that much more space, but having a baby is a good excuse to get rid of clutter.

In other news...

Today is the first day I felt the discomfort of a growing baby in my belly. After dinner, I just found it so challenging to sit comfortably. It was kind of my first, "uh oh" moment, realizing how I'm only half-way through this pregnancy, and how much more uncomfortable it will be getting.

This Thursday will be our last hypnobirthing class! I can't believe five weeks have already gone by! We've really enjoyed the experience so far, and because of this class, I'm feeling more confident about labor and birthing. I'm actually really excited for the day I go into labor and can't wait!

Through our hypnobirthing class, we met our doulas! They're actually the teachers of our class, and not only do they co-teach hypnobirthing, but they also co-doula for pregnant couples. They're both really nice and knowledgable about everything related to birthing in San Francisco, and we're so excited to be working with them! Having this extra support is just another reason why I'm super excited to give birth!

We are slowly building our collection of baby stuff! The laundry room that we just cleared out is now filling up with baby supplies, and best of all, they're all hand-me-downs! I can't wait to move into our new house so I can start setting up the nursery.

After I spoke my first words this morning, the baby started kicking really hard. I wonder if I woke him up, or if he was just excited to hear that I was awake.
