Hello, I'm Annie and this is my family...
...here is my belly at 35 weeks...
...and this is my husband and I when I was 15 weeks pregnant!
We live in San Francisco and by day, I (used to) teach first grade (I'm a stay-at-home mom now!). By night, and all the other times in between, I enjoy
taking photos,
doodling funny pictures,
making things that I can and cannot eat,
going places that are fun but not too tiring,
and
collecting vintage Pyrex dishes.

"The Middle Piece" comes from a song that I made up regarding the crustless, middle piece of a Sicilian pizza at Golden Boy Pizza in North Beach, on one of our first dates. My husband and I still sing it today and I thought it'd be a good name for this baby blog.
