Our good friend, Sarah, and her family live in the cutest house that reminds me of being in Palm Springs. These are some pictures we took outside in the hot hot weather.

On 35mm: Original Pancake House

This was in the same strip mall that I posted last week, but it deserves its own post because it's an Original Pancake House! I didn't know this was a chain?! We have one (but now I learned that there are actually more) in Southern California and I always loved going after going vintage Pyrex shopping, so seeing this was super nostalgic. Plus, it's in the cutest A frame building, ever!

And this was across the street. What a view :)

1 year, 7 months, and 4 days old!

Mars is 1 year, 7 months, and 4 days old!

We just got back from New York/ New Jersey this past Wednesday. We really think Mars got a lot out of this trip. He started saying a bunch of new words, the names of his cousin and uncle are probably the best ones. We roamed the city with Mars in the Ergobaby most of the time, and left him home on two occasions with his cousins' nanny and grandma. He really didn't like being left at home without us :( I think the highlight of our trip for Mars was letting him spend time with family members that we don't get to see too often. He has four cousins over there, the eldest being 15 and the youngest being 5 months. He seemed to develop different types of relationships with each cousin, and it was really amazing to see. Although we were only there for a week, I'm already having withdrawals and can't wait to go back. In the back of my mind I'm already thinking about what I want to do next time. We didn't get to go to any museums this time, so that's definitely first on the list for next time. New York, we miss you and can't wait to see you again!

We decided to pick up food for a friend, who just became a new mom, and discovered this super cute strip mall. We got food from this falafel place and it was amazing!

Last week, I took Mars in for his second professional haircut. He did not like it :( But it turned out pretty well!

Mars is 1 year, 6 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days old!

Bubbles are most definitely one of his favorite things. It's also one of my favorite things because it's fun to watch him chasing the bubbles around and bonding with his dada. This week, he started hugging us while squeezing his hands. It's the best because it feels extra huggy :)
